The "Magic Charger," which Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) appeared to have abandoned, has reappeared on Twitter.
Online photographs of a yet-to-be-released MagSafe charging accessory have been circulating for the past few days.
According to The Verge, the photographs suggest that the iPhone manufacturer had at one point thought of launching a metal stand with a built-in MagSafe charging.
The product's base is made of strong aluminum, and the MagSafe puck has a circular cutout in it.
Along with a USB-C cable that is attached, it also features a rubbery layer at the bottom to keep the Magic Charger from shifting.
According to the images, it appears that the Magic Charger's obvious drawback was that it could only hold an iPhone in landscape configuration.
